7 ‘Alas! for that (A)day is great,
There is (B)none like it;
And it is the time of Jacob’s (C)distress,
But he will be (D)saved from it.

8 ‘It shall come about on that day,’ declares the Lord of hosts, ‘that I will (E)break his yoke from off [a]their neck and will tear off [b]their (F)bonds; and strangers will no longer (G)make [c]them their slaves. 9 But they shall serve the Lord their God and (H)David their king, whom I will raise up for them.
